My favorite horror movie is Santa Sangre by one of my favorite directors, Alejandro Jodorworsky. It's pretty insane, just look it up on wikipedia and read the plot. As in his other films, Jodoworsky uses real freaks and deformed/disabled people. Why use special effects when you can have the real thing? there is also a cool scene where a dad tattoos his sons chest with a knife.
