DRIVE (the movie)
I recently saw this movie theaters and was blown away and I have been thinking/talking about it non stop ever since .
The score/ soundtrack is awesome. The slow and spaced out dialogue makes every moment intense, along with extreme violence paired with it. Ryan Gosling doesn't even have a name in the movie; he's just known as driver. Easily one of my favorite films of 2011. Do your self a favor and go see this awesome movie!! -Dyl

Shameless
The third episode of Showtime's Shameless aired last night. I haven't had a chance to watch it yet, but the first two episodes are fucking hysterical. I can tell this is going to be one of my new favorite shows. The show centers around Frank Gallagher (William H. Macy) and his dysfunctional family. Frank is a drunk and uses his disability check to feed his addiction which leaves the family to raise themselves, which they do a fairly good job of. Oh, and did I mention the oldest daughter Fiona (Emmy Rossum) is a honey bunny. I suggest you check out this fucking show. It comes on Sunday nights at 9pm on Showtime, or just be like me and download it! --Jake

Pretty Little Liars
Alright so if you don't already know Jake and I love shows and movies that most people our age don't like. The show Pretty Little Liars on ABC Family is one great example. The second season just started and tonight is the 3rd episode (can't believe I waited this long to talk about the show) which starts at 7pm central time.
PLL was an 8 book series written by Sara Shepard before it was turned into a tv show created by Marlene King. The show's first episode starts out with 5 girls all who are best friends and one of the girls (named Allison) goes missing. The show then fast forwards to a year later and you find out the girls have grown apart ever since Allison went missing but about a year later just as school is starting the girls missing body is found. This draws the girls somewhat back together and as the investigation progresses the girls receive threatening messages from a stalker known only as 'A'. The girls all have secrets that could potentially ruin their lives and this 'A' threatens to tell those secrets if they don't do what 'A' says. Then the rest of the episodes up to now are about the girls trying to figure out just who this 'A' character really is.
This short review of the show may not make you want to sit down and watch it but me and Jake love this show and I will tell you why. It has some pretty cheesy dialogue that is funny to laugh at. It stars 4 gorgeous young ladies that are great to look at (SERIOUSLY, THOSE LADIES BE LOOKING GOOD!). Lastly, it has great drama and suspense to keep you on the edge of your seat that makes you want watch each week just so you can finally figure out who the mysterious 'A' character is.
Get your friends together and watch this show! I have enjoyed it so far and can't wait for tonights episode! -Dyl

Triple Review
In the past two days I manage to see probably three of the best movies to come out in 2010: True Grit, The Fighter, and Black Swan. All three were equally awesome in there own way. True Grit is a remake of a 1969 John Wayne movie of the same title. I've never seen the original so I can't compare the two, but I don't like John Wayne so I'm gonna go ahead and say the remake was better. True Grit is about a young girl who hires a man called Rooster Cogburn (Jeff Bridges) to hunt down her father's killer. It also stars Matt Damon and Josh Brolin and was directed by the Coen Brothers.
Next was The Fighter, which is about the rise of a Massachusetts-born lightweight boxer (Mark Wahlberg). Christian Bale stars as his crack-addicted half-brother/trainer. Amy Adams is also in the movie which is enough reason alone to go see it.
And last but not least is Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan starring Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis. That is enough reason for you to go see it, I'm not even gonna say anything else about it. So go do your own triple feature at your local movie theatre and see these films! --Jake

Killer Condom (1996)
Yes another movie review. It's getting cold which means less time outdoors and more time watching cheesy horror movies. Ok, so Killer Condom is a German horror/comedy film that takes place in New York City. The film follows Luigi Mackeroni, a gay detective, who was hired to investigate a series of gruesome penis attacks at Hotel Quickie. I don't want to give away to much, so I'll just say that this movie is flat out amazing. Prepare to see lots of gay sex and plenty of bitten off wieners. The acting is great and the effects aren't so bad. So if you need a good laugh, sit down and watch this movie, you'll be pleasantly surprised. --Jake

The Prowler (1981)
The Prowler is an 80's slasher about a WWII veteran who received a "dear John" letter. He kills his ex and her current in a gazebo during a graduation dance. The killer was never found. Hop forward 35 years and a college is hosting a graduation dance, the first in 35 years since the murders, at the same venue. The killer, dressed in WWII gear, starts killing students one by one. This film was directed by Joseph Zito (of Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter and Invasion U.S.A. fame) and features a typical slasher movie plot. But where it differs from other slashers, is that the kill scenes look surprisingly real. The special effects were done by none other than legendary Tom Savini. He considers this movie to be his finest work. The Prowler also features one the best head explosion scenes of all time, the only other movies that come close is David Cronenberg's Scanners and William Lustig's Maniac (Savini also did the special effect for this movie). So if you wanna watch a gem of a movie, I highly suggest checking this film out! --Jake

Papa Murphy's
So we went and checked it out and all you do is go in, tell them what size of pizza you want, what to put on it, and take it home, and bake it yourself. The ingredients are not frozen but fresh for you to choose from. We of course chose the biggest size of pizza and picked the pizza with the most meat toppings.
Alright now here is where your solution to the bossier problem is used. Even though the pizza came from Bossier once the pizza is put in the oven and cooked, VOILA! all of the Bossier germs are dead. * At least that what Jakentology says.
This pizza was kind of expensive but the pizza was huge and had tons of toppings. It definitely filled the three of us up. You want to make sure you have a big appetite when you check this place out. It was also amazingly delicious although it still was not better than Johnny's pizza. But then again what pizza in the world could be?? If you love food and you love pizza, I say check this place out. It's definitely a thumbs up!!!!

The Walking Dead
Last night The Walking Dead premiered on AMC. I had never been so excited for a t.v. show, ever. When I heard they were making the popular comic book into a t.v. series, I was skeptical. That is until I found out AMC was putting it out. They already have two of the most popular shows, Breaking Bad and Mad Men. It is directed by Frank Darabont, who also directed The Green Mile and Shawshank Redemption. Well I am here to tell you they DID NOT DISAPPOINT! The show had me hooked within the first few seconds. I can tell this is going to be my favorite new show, sorry Dexter and Sons Of Anarchy. If you watched it and didn't like it, it prolly means one of two things. 1) You're a woman and your opinion doesn't matter or 2) You are just a flat out retard and I hate you. Check this fucking show out, Sundays at 9pm on AMC. DO IT DO IT DO IT! --Jake

Bulldog Root Beer
Yesterday I went to World Market to find some new sodas to try out. They have a shelf with single bottles and I saw the bulldogs, so of course I fucking bought it. Well that was a mistake. It taste nothing like how a root beer should taste. It taste likes straight vanilla, which isn't a bad thing but it is NOT root beer. Save your money and get some Abita root beer instead. Two thumbs down on this bitch. --Jake
